During our drive through Dormont, PA in Spring 2025 for The Soul Pod, Amy Kline laid out most or all of the arts/music activities for the year. Some have passed, but there are lots left. Enjoy.

Hillsdale Park:

Past partnership with Dormont CDC and Gold Mountain Music Festival, presenting a series of free summer concerts called Party in the Park

Dormont Pool:

future “bottom of the pool” festival in September 2026.

Back Alley Brewing: 

Live Jazz Yoga event on May 3, plus upcoming Friday night events, starting May 9 with David Mnemo followed by Janue 20 with Derrick Beattie

Hollywood Theatre:

three past events with local bands (Sun Champs, Samjamwich, and Brahctopus)  and hoping to be back in there when they reopen

Dormont Park

 home of Dormont Pride, this year on June 29, the Parking Pad books music and provides stage management and production services day-of. 

Other: (I can’t remember if we talked about this or not….) 

Parking Pad has been providing production services to local bands and venues. Our gear is rentable, and can be partnered with a technician. Band and marketing management also available for locals in need of help to market an album release or a particular show, or if they need design services for marketing pieces. 

Dormont Arts:

Hillsdale Park: 

Songs & Stories series including Unrehearsed Shakespeare, Steel CIty Cabaret, and other live music for family audiences

Potomac Station Coffee: 
Songs & Stories open mic storytelling series, next one June 26

Dormont Community Garden:

part of Dormont Arts mission to provide programming rooted in nature, maintained and funded by Dormont Arts board and community volunteers, and one of our longest ongoing projects.

Dormont Park:

home of Art in the Park, a yearly community arts and music festival, this year on September 6.
