The Soul Pod was launched as an occasional podcast adjunct to The Soul Show several years ago. Sometimes it was video, sometimes audio-only, and the content often centered around artist interviews.
One of my 2024 goals is to re-launch TSP as a regular video feature. Interviews will occur in an automobile environment, using Pittsburgh’s urban scenery as a backdrop. The first test stage happened last week, trying a primary camera angle and capturing some rudimentary audio.

Hi, Kendall! How are you? Glad you rediscovered the show. I wish that I could have reached out to everyone 2 years ago to tell them that there was a TSS in a parallel syndicated universe for several years prior to the YEP cancellation. I did my best to let everyone know that there really was no break in the action. As it turns out, WZUM picked up the Pittsburgh broadcast quickly, so there was really only one month of missed terrestrial radio in the city. Welcome back. BTW, all of the post-WYEP episodes are available on demand in the Archives section of soulshowmike.org, so you can catch up if you like.
