TSP, NashCam, Coffee

The Soul Pod

The Soul Pod, a new and visually immersive interview series, is now being filmed for October-December presentation. Byron Nash, the leader of funk/rock outfit Nash.V.Ill, recorded an episode last weekend. In addition to the standard double-dash cam layout, Byron asked to bring along a backseat videographer. As a compromise, I installed a third camera facing forward from the interior rear glass. It worked so well, both as an extra vantage point and as a backup unit, that I think this will be a permanent thing.

A Musical Heroine

Using the NashCam, I’ve started to produce a short tribute to a famous Homestead-bred artist. Stay tuned.

Mandrill’s Coffee

Claude “Coffee” Cave, longtime keyboardist of the funk-progressive outfit Mandrill, died on Friday. His band mate Omar Mesa will share some thoughts on TSS in a few weeks, but the very next event episode will pay tribute. Broadcast times here.
