When I solicited concepts for Women’s History Month 2026, a longtime supported suggested a feature on Parlet. I expanded it to “Women of the P-Funk Empire,” including Brides of Funkenstein and other women-led elements of Parliament Funkadelic. Also, coming from a completely different direction, we feature artist and much-revered songwriter, Laura Nyro. It’s really diverse, but it all fits. Enjoy.
