up next on The Soul Show: Stevie’s “Songs” at 50

In this episode, The Soul Show celebrates Stevie Wonder’s “Songs In The Key Of Life,” the iconic 1976 release. It followed what we know as Stevie’s Classic Era, and we lead into the feature with some of that earlier music for context.

Also, continued dives into ‘26 albums from Eki Shola, Brian Jackson and The Olympians.

(for licensing reasons, TSS is limited to 3 songs from the same album, so it was really hard to pick!)

catching up on last week’s TSS

I pulled one out of the 2025 archives that seemed right for the Artemis II mission:

Vinylthon ’26

As always, a blast supporting WIUP-FM during the annual 48h record excursion. I experienced every Vinylthon whoopsie imaginable, but by Hour 1.16 I was enough in a groove to snap a pic. As always, thanks to Dr. Gonzeaux, the faculty advisor, for having me.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania is one of early carriers of TSS during the syndication era. I support them any way I can.
